In 2010, Bloomingdale’s opened its first store outside of the United States in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), as part of a strategic relationship with Al Tayer Group LLC, a leading UAE-based company with diversified businesses.
The two Bloomingdale’s locations – a three-level apparel and accessories store across 146,000 square feet and a one-level Home store across 54,000 square feet – now anchor The Dubai Mall, one of the world’s largest shopping centers (by site area).
Delivering a world-class retail experience, Bloomingdale’s Dubai is a full-line, upscale department store showcasing a brand portfolio representing the latest and most desirable merchandise across every category throughout both the main and Home stores.
In August of 2010, Bloomingdale’s opened a new location at 315 Colorado Ave. in Santa Monica, CA.
Fashioned after New York City’s Soho location, Bloomingdale’s Santa Monica anchors the Santa Monica Place shopping center, located between the iconic Third Street Promenade and Santa Monica pier.
This contemporary men’s and women’s specialty store occupies over 80,000 square feet of selling space, and each level is designed to capture the diversity and culture of Santa Monica while adding a distinctive Bloomingdale’s presence.
Bloomingdale’s has begun rolling out a new Bloomingdale’s Outlet store concept.
Each with approximately 25,000 square feet, the four locations with an upscale outlet store focus are:
